Funding

Funding for many of the SCIL training courses is available through many different channels, including:

Early Intervention Grant

First Aid Funding - For Early Years or Play Settings 


SCIL Discretionary Learner Funding Application

This form is for learners applying for qualifications/programmes through any of the following training providers:

  • Bridgwater College
  • Somerset College
  • Yeovil College
  • Strode College
  • Somerset Skills & Learning (SS&L).

Learners can apply for assistance with course fees for the following courses:

  • Children and Young People's Certificate (Level 2)
  • Children and Young People's Diploma (Level 3)
  • Business and Admin (Level 2)
  • Business and Admin (Level 3)

Qualifications aimed at support staff in schools:

  • Level 2 Certificate of Cover Supervision of Pupils in Schools
  • Level 2 Award /Certificate in Support Work in Schools
  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting the Wider Curriculum in Schools
  • Level 3 Certificate of Cover supervision of Pupils in Schools
  • Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools

Funding will be allocated on a purely discretionary basis.  Please see the SCIL Funding Application Form for more details.

This form must be completed, signed and returned to SCIL before assistance with funding can be requested.
