   Who's it for?

This course is desirable for Foster Carers working with young people under 18 years old and is available to all staff for whom it is relevant.


    Description

Knowledge relating to individual substances, legal issues, understanding young people’s substance use and exploring attitudes towards substances.

Working with young people to identify how substance use/misuse affects their life. The level of risk this use involves them in deciding whether or not a referral to On the Level is appropriate.

Engaging young people in targeted interventions such as harm reduction advice, information and support and developing motivation to change.
