Challenge and Lead - Youth Work Seminar

Tuesday 25th January 2011 10:00 - 15:00 (Registration from 9.30am)

Bishops Hull House, Bishops Hull, Taunton

Challenge and Lead is a resource produced through the Youth of Today project, which supports young people to be the leaders of tomorrow. It has been developed through campaign and leadership work with young people and follows the Hear by Right approach.

This

free training day will give you a chance to become familiar with this new resource and also show you how to join your project into The Youth of Today’s work by supporting your young people to effectively challenge and make a difference.

This day is aimed at any practitioner working or wanting to work with young people in their community who is relatively new to participation. You don’t even have to be a youth worker, just interested in supporting young people to make a difference in your organisation or community.

The day will help you work with young people to identify their issues, develop a campaign, run it and then measure what’s changed and evidence the impact. It will also help you to check out how participation fits into the Big Society and the agenda of the new government.

Closing date for applications: Friday 14 January 2011

Full details will be included in the booking forms. Please note that bookings cannot be taken without a booking form.
